Job Summary:

As an Android App Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create mobile solutions that meet user needs and adhere to best practices in mobile app development. Your role is critical in shaping our mobile presence and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. App Development:

   • Design and develop Android applications that are user-friendly, reliable, and performant.
   • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional apps.
   • Ensure the app’s compatibility with various Android versions and devices.

2. Coding and Debugging:

   • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using Java or Kotlin.
   • Debug and resolve issues, such as crashes, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
   • Optimize app performance, including load times and responsiveness.

3. User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX):

   • Create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that enhance the user experience.
   • Collaborate with designers to implement UI/UX design elements and animations.
   • Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback for continuous improvement.

4. Integration and APIs:

   • Integrate with external APIs, third-party libraries, and services to enhance app functionality.
   • Collaborate with backend developers to ensure smooth data exchange between the app and server.

5. Security and Compliance:

   • Implement security best practices to protect user data and maintain app integrity.
   • Stay up-to-date with Android platform changes and industry security standards.

6. Testing and Quality Assurance:

   • Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure app stability.
   • Conduct thorough testing, including functional, integration, and regression testing.
   • Collaborate with QA teams to address and resolve issues.

7. Documentation:

   • Maintain detailed documentation of app development, including code comments and technical specifications.
   • Create user guides and documentation for internal and external use.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as an Android App Developer with a strong portfolio of Android apps.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin programming languages.
• Experience with Android Studio and Android SDK.
• Knowledge of mobile app design principles, UI/UX best practices, and Material Design.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
