Job Summary:

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and machinery. Your role is essential in ensuring the production process runs smoothly and meets quality standards. You will be expected to follow operational procedures, perform routine maintenance on machines, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Machine Operation:

   • Set up and operate manufacturing machinery according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
   • Monitor equipment to ensure it operates efficiently and produces high-quality products.
   • Adjust machine settings as needed to meet production requirements.

2. Quality Control:

   • Inspect products for defects and deviations from quality standards.
   • Conduct quality checks at regular intervals during production runs.
   • Take corrective actions to address quality issues promptly.

3. Maintenance and Cleaning:

   • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as necessary.
   • Report equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to maintenance staff for repairs.

4. Safety Compliance:

   • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
   • Ensure that machine guards and safety devices are in place and functioning correctly.

5. Documentation:

   • Maintain accurate records of machine operation, production output, and any maintenance performed.
   • Complete production logs and reports as required.

6. Problem Solving:

   • Troubleshoot issues that may arise during production and resolve them quickly to minimize downtime.
   • Notify supervisors of complex or unresolved problems.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machine operation is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Familiarity with various types of manufacturing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on product quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to follow them diligently.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
